Step 2: Document Delivery

  • Mortgage loan documents are sent electronically or by overnight delivery. 
  • Signed documents and additional mortgage loan information is sent back to NBKC.

Step 3: Appraisal and Title Work

  • An appraisal is ordered from a licensed appraiser familiar with home values in your area.
  • If the loan is for a home purchase, we will work with the real estate broker or seller to ensure that title work is ordered.
  • We will confirm the legal status of your property using the title insurance policy.

Step 4: Closing

  • The mortgage loan closing is scheduled after all documentation is received.
  • An advisor will contact you prior to the closing to walk through the final information.

Now, click on “I’m done with this section”. Keep in mind that you can also add another residence.
  • Enter your Employment History which includes your “Employer name”, “Job Title”, choose if that is your current employer or other option by checking the “yes” or “no” box. Enter the “start date”, years in industry, monthly income, work address, unit type, unit number, city, state, zip code, and phone. Then, click on “I’m done with this section.”
  • Fill other information include your other sources of income, and additional real estate.
  • Then, fill the “Declaration” form and then proceed to the “Demographics” form and once you are done, click on the “I’m done with this section.”
  • Finally, review your form to check for correction and then scroll down to click on the “Submit” button.

  • Select Account Services  Loan Payment 
  • Select the account the loan payment will be drawn from. 

For our Business customers, you will only have the option to draw from an internal nbkc account. To open an internal nbkc account, visit nbkc.com.

  • Select the loan account the loan payment will be credited to. 
  •  Your loan account details will populate, including the payment due amount.
  • Select the payment type, which can vary based on the loan type.

Regular Payment = Will satisfy your current payment due.

Principal Only Payment= Will apply an additional principal payment toward your existing loan balance.  

  • Enter the desired payment amount.
  •  Enter the desired date the loan payment is processed.
  • Select Submit. 

If you would like to set up a recurring loan payment checkmark “Make this a recurring transaction” and complete all fields (payment frequency, start date, and end date).

  • Edit Recurring Loan Payment
  •  Select Transaction  Recurring Transaction
  • From the Actions bar *located on the right-hand side of the transaction, select Edit Series.
  • Complete the following fields you would like to update (from account, to account, amount, frequency, start or end date).
  • Select Transfer Funds.

To Cancel a Recurring Loan Payment

  • Select Transaction  Recurring Transaction
  • From the Actions bar *located on the right-hand side of the transaction, select Cancel Series.
  • Select Confirm.
